OUR STORY
The two owners of The Kashmir Weaving Company, Jack and Anil, met in 2010 while working in Chandigarh, northern India. Jack had spent months traveling the Himalayan ranges before settling in Srinagar, Kashmir during the summer of 2009. Here he stayed on a houseboat with a local family who informed him about local food, culture, and traditions.
Anil and Jack came to learn of the unique skills and craftspeople who make superior woven goods in this stunning location, where only a lucky few visit each year. Anil soon moved back to the neighboring province of Himachal Pradesh, and together they established The Kashmir Weaving Company, as a base to promote these fine products across the globe.
We are sure that your product will provide you with many years of pleasure, and we are honored to support the traditional skills of the people of Kashmir, that have been handed down through generations for hundreds of years.
